Sim is a camera rental and post production company constantly calculating data rates, timecode, internet transfer times. There are many tools on the market that offer this functionality, but none that work as an all in one solution. Most are not up to date with the latest cameras and flipping between various apps is a pain. Therefore we created the Sim DATA Calculator. Within this app you can: - Compare various camera data sizes, side by side - Calculate how long it would take to send that media over the internet - Copy results from calculations to your clipboard for use in other apps - Calculate data consumption for an entire tv show or movie in one step - Calculate and visualize complex framing variations
Version History Sim Data Calculator Version 2.6 Updates Include: - Updated data rates for Sony Venice firmware 3. - Re-Ordering of Sony Venice Codecs - Updated framing functionality - Bug fix for fps slider on Sony FS7 2.6.0 05/04/2019 Version 2.5.2 _______________________ Updates Include: *** New Framing Tab Have you ever been asked; "We are thinking of recording in 'this' resolution, with 'this' type of anamorphic lens, but need to deliver our movie/tv show in 'this' aspect ratio. Therefore will I be cutting off the sides of my frame, the top, or matteing? How many pixels are we left with after we crop the acquisition?" These questions can become pretty complex and hard to visualize. I have spent more hours than I would like to admit making charts for people in Photoshop explaining these answers. But not anymore. This new framing tab will answer each of these questions for you! ... And the upgrade, like the app is still free! *** Update to camera resolutions available within app *** Update to DPX resolutions available *** Support for iPhoneX, XS, XR, XSMax 2.5.2 12/13/2018 Version 2.5.1 Updates Include: - Updated Alexa LF camera (Frame-rates were out of order) - Updated Sony Venice data rates - Updated DPX data rates 2.5.1 03/15/2018 Version 2.5.0 Updates Include: - Added Alexa LF camera - Added Sony Venice camera - New Sim Logo 2.5.0 03/12/2018 * Added Canon C700 * Added ProRes recording options into Varicam cameras * Added Varicam Pure camera * Added RAW recording via the Codex to the Varicam cameras * Added Panavision DXL camera 2.4.1 01/09/2018 - Added support for Lumix GH1 - Added support for Sony A7S 2.3.0 04/25/2017 2.2.0 04/20/2017
